I think my iPhone 3G may have a virus...
So today in class i was moving some apps and saw that there were blank spaces with the little black x's to delete.
i was like wtf.
so i clicked on it and it took me to Design by 999 - Frank M. Jr.
scrnshts

Looks perfectly fine right?

Hold on an icon for a few secs, then this happens...

Then, no matter how much i delete these they keep on coming back!

this is where every link takes me to...
Design by 999 - Frank M. Jr.
and this is all thats on the screen.
i don't know why this is happening, someone please help me because the last thing i want is a virus or a brick..
am i retarded or something??
thanks a lot guys

A bunch of people have been talking about this. THere are blank app appliations out there but it seems you never installed it. What have you installed recently? Have you updated something? Either way don;t fret, a restore will kill any virus you may have.
I actually noticed (just now) I had these icons too, along with the install 10 blank apps that I did in Crydia. My feeling is that it is within a cydia app we are installing. My most recent apps in cydia are BlackBerry Impression theme and CallMe (update).Last edited by sziklassy; 10-06-2008 at 05:57 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thanks guys..
so basically,
either remove the Blackberry theme (which i have and updated today)
or if i want to keep the theme (which i dont care for)
navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library/WebClips and delete it?
thanks again =]]]]
UPDATE
I uninstalled Blackberry Impressions and then deleted Webclips in MobileFinder and did a reboot.
everything is A-OK
thanks everyoneLast edited by Zman-iPhone; 10-06-2008 at 11:37 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
