Whats with WinPWN 3.0?

Did anyone known whats with the 3rd release?
When it will be released that we can upgrade to 2.1 and 2.2

there is quickpwn that works alright if u want a jailbroken 3g or a jailbroken unlocked 1st gen 2.1

Winpwn is only better because you can unlock your phone and change your boot logos. If you know what your doing and want to be on 2.1 jailbroken/unlocked/and with a custom boot logo, then you really dont need the new winpwn.

i used quickpwn to upgrade my phone to 2.1. its thinks its pretty good. as someone said winpwn is better bcos u can put any custom logo.

you can't activate with quickpwn.

what is the purpose of unlocking a phone if the phone doesnt become activated?

using quickpwn to get to 2.1 using a pc... Do you still have to use iTunes 8.0. ... Then downgrade to iTunes 7.7.. Then use disktool etc etc???

I use a mac so it's pwnage tool all the way for me but I have a few friends that want to go to 2.1 jailbroken on pc's... Thanks for any info

to go to 2.1 jailbroken on a pc, you need to first download a jailbroken 2.1 firmware for your phone (2g or 3g) by either asking a mac user very nicely to upload it for you or finding one that you trust from somewhere (mabe one of your favourite torrent sites)

then

using the old winpwn, create a custom 2.0.2 firmware, and at the end when it puts the phone into dfu mode and tells you to restore in itunes, shift+click to restore in itunes but select your already downloaded 2.1 firmware as opposed to the 2.0.2 you have just created.

the restore will go through fine and you will be at 2.1 jailbroken + activated + unlocked.

i know that itunes 8 does not affect this method, and havent heard anything major about 8.0.1 so it shouldnt matter what itunes version you have

i have a link for 2g 2.1 firmware but i think its against rules to post links to custom firmwares....

also, i just dont understand why quickpwn gives you the option to unlock? i mean, if you cant activate the phone then it isnt much use unlocking it
