Unread Message error

Hi,

My iphone keeps saying that there is an unread text message but i have already read all my messages. anyone who can help me out here? what file(s) do i have to edit to get rid of this annoying error?

Iphone First gen 8g with 3.9 bootloader and is pwned running 2.1 unlocked and jailbroken

Hey Mike,

Might sound like a silly suggestion but, open every text message in your sms application because there is a possibility that although you have read it if you don't open it the iphone thinks its unread.

I have already tried that, but it didn't work

i have deleted almost all my messages except one (the messages from my girlfriend) so i think the problem is in this message. i think i need to edit some file to get rid of this

hope someone can help me with this

I am having the exact same problem.
The first time I got it, it would always show that I have an unread message from my girlfriend. I had to delete the thread for it to go. Then about a month later, I got the some problem again, with my girlfriend's messages as well. It seems because the thread was quite long.
I'm dying to know how to get rid of that.

Mine also has this problem. Very annoying! Everytime I open my SMS's it automatically goes into messages from my girlfriend.

It did go away once somehow and I was cheering, but it returned the very next day!

there is an app to fix a corrupt database in cydia

I have the same problem and the SMS database fixer says that there is no corrupt database but there's obviously something wrong.....plz help thnx in advance
