Default Restored / Unlocked.. still not reading my sim card !

This morning when I woke up my iphone said 'No Sim' on the top left corner
I didn't think of it much so I just let it sit there for a few hours to see if it goes away

But every minute or so I get a pop up saying 'No Sim Card Installed'
I was running on 1.1.4 in the beginning of the day and I thought i should restore it or update it to see if it fixed it, but no luck !

So i'm still here... i tried searching and tried everything but no luck

    =[

    Anyone can help ???

I'm stuck home on a friday night for the first time in months because of this, lol

    thanks

Is there a reason you don't want to upgrade to 2.1?

I would update to 2.1 and follow this guide:
    Pwnage 2.x Guide 3G - ModMyi - Wiki

you can still follow the guide and in pwnage, instead of choosing the 3g iphone, you'd just choose the original one
