If you don't mind losing your other settings, just restore your phone and dont restore from backup.
Then again you probably do mind because you posted here :/

go into itunes, check "import from yahoo" and NOTHING ELSE checked except "replace contacts with this address book". enter a yahoo id, if you don't have one they are free, get one. It will sync the yahoo address book, which is empty. Uncheck the yahoo box, apply, done.
restore........ LOL. You friggin people kill me. I swear some of you'll restore to get rid of a single email.Last edited by one1; 09-28-2008 at 04:55 PM.

hmm..im not sure what im doing wrong, but when i do what you said it still leaves all my contacts that i had in there and it just adds emails to it. i dont have a yahoo account so i tried my gmail account and its not doing anything but adding ppl's emails to it. any way to do it through iphone? maybe a setting or option that allows me to delete my entire contact list?

You didn't check "replace all contacts" in itunes? and you didn't go get a yahoo account like I said?
You ask how to do this, I told ya how.
Use the info or lose the info.
It's the only way.

There is an app in Cydia that will erase your contacts with one click. It is called Erase Contacts and is in the Planet Iphone repository. It showed up under "Changes" in Cydia today.

That's a very good app we have needed for a long time, but more apps = more resources so I'll let itunes do it for me
