saving contacts?
how can you save your contacts so that when you restore, upgrade, etc. you won't have to add your contacts in all over again?

Sync your contacts with your choice of email clients through iTunes (Outlook, Outlook Express, etc) so that they will always be on your computer. Then it won't matter if you lose the information on your iPhone, it can always be synced back. This is done by default with all iPhone configurations.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

I like his idea of saving the actual file. I tend to do that on most other areas.
