hi there
it sounds that the 2.1 has many bugs
yesterday i charged my phone via pc and pressed to button on the top (in sleep mode)
so when i wake up i found that the usage time is equal the standby time which is equal to 10 hours and by this i lost 25% of my battery
so whats going on ???
is there any applications hidden and open
is there anyway to know if there is anyting open in the background

ah. Perhaps another occurance of mediaserverd going rogue. Install 'top' from cydia (change your cydia settings to no filter 'developer' first), open terminal, ssh into your phone, type in top and then check what processes are running.

this happened to someone else's phone after upgrading to 2.1. i told her to restore and see if it helped. it didn't, she called AT&T and got a replacement, but you're in Egypt so i don't know how you'd go about getting a replacement and i'm also not sure how you are using it without it being jailbroken as i believe the iphone hasn't been released there yet

was your pc on, if the pc is turned off it will not charge the phone.
