I bought my 8gig iPhone, and had it unlocked in front of me using iPlus before I left the store (bought it from a phone tech).

What I noticed from the beginning that I don't have App Store. I have Installer and Cydia, but would love to have App Store. There is an app that I really want... Dynolicious.

My phone is on T-Mobile, has 1.1.4 on it, and I plan on upgrading to 2.0. I'm wondering why App Store isn't there, and how I can get it on my phone.

App Store is only available with FW 2.x

Hmm, I didn't know that. I just thought App Store was on earlier versions only because I saw it on my buddies 8gig 'virgin' iphone.

What was on the previous firmware versions where a non jailbroken phone downloaded apps?

There wasn't a way to download apps unless the phone was jailbroken I'm afraid.

You probably mistook it for the ITunes store where you could purchase/download music.
