I've upgraded to 2.1 on 1gen and it looks like there is a feature i find very annoying. If i recieve new SMS and i dont read it, for example a drunk friend sends "come to the pub, muny biatches here!!11one" at 3am, and i'm sleeping, iphone will repeat the new text message alert sound again after some time untill i read the message.
Can i turn that off?

I have the exact same issue, drives me nuts when im sleeping....would love to know if there is a way. Apple should have integrated this into the settings menu

I still have no solution for this. Making it an option in Settings would be great. I would also love to see that "No message preview" option for us who don't use Passcode lock. My GF wouldn't dare to read the new messages but if my Iphone is on a table displaying the new message on the screen....
