Hey guys I recently bought an iphone 3g off craigslist. I used to have an N95 but missed my first iphone. Currently i have the unlimited data text etc plan on my line for $35 a month, but I got a txt from att today saying that "Your data plan is not eligible for iphone 3g. To prevent excess charges and enable visual vm, please call 611 to add a data plan for iphone." Do i have to add that plan, since it is more expensive? And will they make me extend my contract if i do? The only reason i bought it of craigslist was sa that i didnt have to extend my contract.

You dont have to extend your contract.

But if you dont add it...either they will or they can block you from receiving data completely.

The 3g data plan is a requirement of having a 3g Iphone.
