Need to make my 3G iPhone look Bricked/Dead!

Yeah sorry for the unusual request,

But I need to make my iPhone appear Bricked/Dead/Caput whatever you call it.

Whether it be a bunch of random letters on the screen or it just not turning on, I need it to look like it's dead.

Anything we could do, short of taking the above posted hammer to your phone, is reversable. So err..

you can always cut the wires of the charging cable, switch them, solder them togehter, and plug it in. This WILL fry the crap out of your phone though, dunno if you want that.

As for the Best Buy theory... it's accidental damage, he could just smash it and take it back for a new one anyway... AND he could also just return it for a new one within the 30 days policy....

I've figured it out anyway, I ssh'ed into the phone then deleted some folders that looked important.

Turned it on and it was kaput.

Hard restored it and now it's working perfectly again
