Sorry I'm not sure if this is in the right section but I desperately need help.

After installing and uninstalling Keyvib (or at least I believe this was the causing factor) my iPhone's vibrate feature will not work. I have checked the settings and yes vibrate is on. When I use the Silent toggle switch, the icon appears, so I know its not a hardware issue, but the phone does not go into silent and it does not vibrate.

Can someone please help me with this?????

EDIT: I have restored my phone to version 1.1.4, 2.0.1, 2.0.2 and I am currently using 2.1 and I have the same issue in each firmware

have you rebooted the phone or try resetting all settings?

yep! I've also restored my phone to many different firmware versions.

well i had that same problem wit mine what i did was i got a hammer and softly REALLY REALLY SOFTLY hit the top apple logo and all of a sudden it started to work idk if the hammer had to do wit it working but im just saying fi u wana try it go ahead if anything take it back to apple

are you serious????? Im a little afraid of that technique and I cant take it to apple because I don't have an AT&T account

Can anyone help me??? I really need the vibrate feature. I think a system file is missing/ corrupt

Back up and replace the files in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Celestial.framework using these. Tell me if it works.

Sounds like your vibrator is broken, I would try the hammer operation

Hmmm...That's really weird. Maybe you should try restoring as a new iPhone and check out how it works w/o installing anything.

I've restore a million times. I know some system file must be messed up because whenever I receive a text message I get alerted twice. The alerts come about a minute apart and I know this is not a normal feature in the phone's OS. So either some program is still installed causing this or when I restore the original files are not being restored

are you restoring from your backup after you jailbreak? as suggested, you should try setting it up as as new phone after restoring/rejailbreaking to see if the problem is still there

I've done that. The problem still persists

EDIT: When I replace those files in Celestial.framework do I have to change any of the permissions?
