Hey guys. I have played around with a couple applications for instant messaging so I can combine my buddy lists for different instant message programs together and none of them seem up to par with what I expected. Is there any application that I can download that is better than them all?

Also, are there any applications available yet that will run in the background so if I get an IM it will let me know even if I am not in the program.
