You need to place the phone into DFU mode (its in recovery mode now) and let Itunes restore it. After that make sure your running the correct firmware and pawn.

By the way, you said 2.0.2 - 2.1 is the current.

Also, updates need to be done via Itunes, dont attempt upgrading using pwnage.

Are you SURE you put it into DFU mode before trying Itunes to restore? And what firmware version was on it before all this? Also, to make sure....you are positive you used the correct 2.0.2 firmware file in winpwn?

Listen closely bro, PLACE THE PHONE INTO DFU MODE like this:

1. Open Itunes.

2. Plug Iphone into the computer.

3. Turn Iphone off.

4. Hold down the POWER button for 5 seconds.

5. WITHOUT letting go of the POWER button....now hold down the HOME button (now both are down) for 10 seconds.

6. Let go of the POWER button....CONTINUE to hold the HOME button until Itunes recognizes the phone and tells you to restore. (The iphone screen should be black) usually takes about 10-20 seconds.

7. Let Itunes restore.

If you dont have the iphone in DFU mode....it will NOT work.

His problem is he's now running 2.1 and only has a WinPC.

No quickpwn available to do that yet. (on WinPC)

He's also swapped Itunes versions back and fourth. Now he's on v8.

I have him looking at the 2.1 jailbreak thread with custom pre-made firmware files.

He's also NOT sure what firmware version he actually has.

He has the loaders from itunes 8 still in his system then. This is gonna be all kinds of funked up.............. iTunes 8 verifies the permissions on everything before it syncs. Most things come back "unverified".

Need to locate every single inch of itunes files and delete them, then load the version you want on there, OP.

Yeah, I was on AIM with him for....awhile. This was part of the conversation.

However, he also thought he was running firmware version 1.6
