Lost Contacts

my friend has a iPhone 3G and it works fine but when he connected it to his computer (his computer is messed up with several viruses) Well when he connected to itunes some how it restored it and it didnt back up his contacts. So i was wondering if there is a way to somehow get the contacts back.

if he never backed up his fone den i dont think he will be able to get his contacts back

well do u know where the contact information is stored on da iphone because most of his contacts got lost and only 5 were left

In order to sync contacts to your phone you have to use something like Windows Address Book. It comes on all Windows. Look at it on his computer. The addresses in that program are the ones that sync to and from the iPhone.

Also you can right click your iPhone inside of iTunes(it will be listed on the left hand side once connected)...select restore from back up and his backups are listed there. Maybe he has one left over from before his last sync.

I suggest he back up is contacts over the air through push. I use nueva sync and it syncs my contacts and calendar over the air. you will never have to worry about losing contacts of the pc dies. ohh and its free. they are workign on push email also for gmail
