If you cannot backup after upgrading to 2.1...
I was having a problem in which I would get an error "Could not back up "" because the iPhone was disconnected" when I tried to back up after pwning my phone and using iTunes 8.0.
Here is the fix.
1. Go to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework via SSH.
2. Backup the file "MobileInstallation" file.
3. Copy the attached MobileInstallation file to the MobileInstallation.framework folder.
4. Set permissions to MobileInstallation to 775.
5. Reboot iPhone
6. Sync/Backup
It helps if you go to iTunes Preferences and delete all backups to ensure it works.
*EDIT*
Sorry mod you can delete this post as I just saw another one just like it.Last edited by oo3; 09-15-2008 at 01:01 AM. Reason: duplicate post.
