In hopes of getting rid of the 2.0.2 bugs, I upgraded to version 2.1
What a mistake
I had to restart the phone several times because the internet/3g phone would stop working altogether...
Can someone confirm this?

Your reply is unnecessary and does not answer the question
I don't need forum police to follow me around telling me what/how I should or should not express my opinions on the 2.1 update

If you encounter recurring problems, restore your phone from the default settings
Everything works fine

I can confirm there is a problem on some phones, I installed restored from a 2.1 ipsw and at first I was happy at last with a stable iphone like I had with 1.1.4, only to find after having downloaded a few apps that the wifi stopped working although detecting my router and apparently connecting the iphone was saying there was no internet connection.
I've restored a number of time with no more luck still trying!!!!Eric's iPhone 4 4.01 offically unlocked

*2.0.2 Running Absolutely No Issues*
I'm currently using a 2g iPhone and WAS running 1.1.3 for the longest til' it took a s**t on me. I then upgraded to 2.0.1 and unlocked and jailbroke in a matter of a hour. 2.0.1 ran decent for a bit, then decided to upgrade to 2.0.2 and since have't had not one issue! 2.0.2 RoCkS!!! Also 2.0.2 took me about 3mins to jailbreak and unlock with Windows.Behind every successful man is a surprised woman
