Who has tried upgrading to 2.1? Just curious if pwnd phones take this update as well at the .01 and .02 updates previously.

Indeed there is...in the news forum. And apparently the phones remain unlocked and lose Cydia, etc. as has been the case with other updates. I'm guessing the T-Zones hack would also be gone. Curious what you Tmo users have experienced as far as signal strength changes, etc.

I upgraded from 2.0.2 pwnded to 2.1 and everything works fine. I lost Cydia and Installer but the phone remains unlocked. I'm using T-Mobile US.

1- Youtube works
2- Google maps, weather, stocks, appsstore work
3- Contact list is faster.
4- SMS faster? not sure, need to try later.
5- Reception similar as before, need to do more testing.
6- Data speed similar as before. Need to check if it still has the disconnect issue as in 2.0.2
7- The upgrade kept all my appsstore apps and they still work.
8- So far no crashing on apps nor Safari.

This is very interesting. Historically, new firmware locks the phones, don't they? Wonder why this changed?

I will still wait for the Dev Team to come out with the PwnageTool for FW2.1.
