have the iphone stuck in boot mode and it says:

ipod stack cant start need configuration.

Any ideas on how i can get the iphone back working.or how to configure

connect to itunes and press restore if itunes doesn't see it put it in dfu mode

Which iphone do you have? firmware?
What have you done to the phone?

unplug your ipod
hold the power and home button for 10 sec until it turn off
then hold the home button and plug in the cable
then restore in itunes
