Before I begin I just want to reiterate how helpful this site has been since getting my 2G iPhone. Everyone here has a passion for this technology, embraces it, enhances it, and shares knowledge openly. I do love coming to the site!
Now, the question: I’ve been trying to establish contact with my Cox e-mail SMTP server now for about a week and need help with settings that will work for this. I’ve tried the Cox “cwmx.com” SMTP, port 25, as well as others both shared by Cox and Apple. Is anyone capable of sending email through Cox SMTP servers and what are your settings? I can retrieve e-mail through the Cox POP servers just fine, but just can’t send or reply through their SMTP.
I’m willing to try anything at this point. I know it’s possible because the previous owner was able to do this. Having pwned it I have lost these settings…
have you gone on cox.net to get their out bound server info. I used to have it, but dont remember. ive moved on to gmail years ago, so I cant remember. every coast has a different smtp server.
