Standing in line on Friday

Spotted ONE tent outside my local store at 7:30am.

Just took a drive on lunch past the AT&T store in the area and I am pleased to say there were only about 4 or 5 people lined up at this point. Hopefully it will stay like that till I get out of here at 4:30.

did not go well at At&t was 22nd in line and missed by 2. Went to the apple store 10:00 last night and was able to get an 8gb, so it turned out ok. Still getting used to the keyboard, doing this post on it now. Still looking for the cowbell ringtone :>)

Ha, nice. Yah, the Apple stores were WELL stocked. I was happy and surprised. Interesting how Apple seems to have stood up well to the test, while AT&T has had issues. Of course, the iPhone isn't perfect...

the att store here in downtown denver still has some 4 gigers . . . they had a lot more stock than the other att stores in the area

The Apple store was the best place to go. They were handing out water and Starbucks coffee to everyone in line while we waited. Best 2 and 1/2 hours I ever spent waiting to give my money away!

Yup same here. Except it was 12 hours.

I waited 3 1/2 hours to get mine. ATT Store had 100 phones. More 8gb than 4gb. When I left at 6:30, they still had 40 phones and maybe 10 people left in line. Manager was awesome, came out and introduced himself everytime new people arrived in line.

We had a great group of people in line and a great group of employees. I was number 20 in line, bought the 8gb and the DLO Jam Jacket.

So far, nothing but satisfied!

Now that's a good manager/salesman there. I would have also told people standing in line who had no chance of getting one today that we only had so many. Kinda cruel to leave a long line outside your store for nothing.

I chose to steer clear of the AT&T stores for fear that they would try to hoard the phones for new accounts only. I only saw a few posts where some buyers were turned away by AT&T sales reps.
