    Default Forgot to Activate
I upgraded from 1st gen 1.1.4 to 2.0.2 using winpwn. I followed instructions from a tutorial and it said if i had an official ATT carrier, i didn't have to activate. so i clicked the thumbs down when it asked if i wanted to activate. everything went well, and now itunes is making me activate my account and start a whole new account, having to pay for a new plan and everything. what should i do? and i can't sync or restore or anything because i didn't "activate" it yet!

are you on ATT? you do not need to activate the phone when making the firmware. if you are not on att or an official carrier then you need to do the bells and whistles to get the phone unlocked so it can bypass the activation. if you are on an official carrier then use quickpwn to jailbreak it and restore the phone to a stock 2.0.2 firmware then use it to jailbreak it

If you have wifi, install bootneuter and unlock the phone, you'll be fine after that
