What is the demo.app?

On a 1.1.3 is that any reason for the demo.app?
It does not have any icon and doesn't seem to do anything.
With the 79 app limitation can I delete it, or does it serve a purpose?

Can no one advise if it is ok to delete the demo.app folder?
I dont want to mess my phone up but it is just sitting there and I cant find anywhere if it is a needed app.
