keyboard pop up characters

Hello everybody
I’am trying to modify the keyboard characters and I’m having problems
In the latin keyboard(doesn't matter which one)their are characters that when they are being pushed for A Few Seconds more characters pop up: like the one in this Picture

And some aren’t: like the character D in this Picture

my question is, what makes a letter pop-up, and where can I edit it so I can apply pop-up's to other letters, to make custom characters under them.
I tried to edit this file: : Keyboard-default.plist
But failed no change
I need this in order to build a keyboard to language that have 200 characters
Any advice will be Appreciated

this can work only on frimware 2.1

well the keyboard popup characters files is located in :System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework
in here you select your keyboard
it's probably a plist file so you will have to convert it to Text
after that you have to edit it with some text editor i'm using UlteraEdit
after you finish editing upload it to the iphone no need to change it back to plist format
don't forget to turn on the keyboard you edited later
this worked for me only in frimware 2.1

Hi! I'm Vietnamese and am trying to put vietnamese characters to iphone but I have no clue where to start. I already have the Vietkey file on my macbook. Do I need some kind of program to put the vietnamese characters to the Iphone? Any help would be appreciated.

you need to use a file browser program for the iphone
winscp is the best you can read/get it in the forum
after that do as i said to "mptu" above

Thanks for your reply afi. I haven't started because i still have doubt. I afraid I'll mess up the whole keyboard on the iphone. Maybe I just leave it at that. Oh and where have you been to VN? Im from south of VN. Da Lat, Bao Loc is where I am from.

if you unsure maybe its good idea for you to wait until you acquire more experience
about vietnam
i started in the south in hochiminh city and moved north to dalat ,nhatrang,...hanoi
i hop i will come again some day
