weird colored pixels

hey guys,
im new to the iphone but played with the ipod linux for a bit with my old 80 gig. ive noticed after 'jail breaking' or 'linux installation' (in the general sense i guess) i sometimes get colored pixels (red, green yellow ish depending, but never changing) on the screen during the boot up time of the device, and against any black screen you have running.
anyone else get this? ive never seen it really mentioned in the ipod linux forms, and its really only a cosmetic problem, that seems to be resolved with a new installation, but again sometimes comes up in the days following.
