WIFI stays on in 1.1.3

I just upgraded to 1.1.3 and I noticed that my wifi stays on even if my iphone is in sleep mode. I know because I can still logon to my iphone through ssh. In 1.1.2 it kills my wifi a few seconds after it goes into sleep mode. Is there anyway to turn off wifi when the phone goes into sleep mode? I want to conserve every bit of battery for the iphone. Thanks.

same thing happened to me. Kills your battery fast. I restored and it went back to normal.

Restored to what? 1.1.3? Thats what I did to begin with (because I had bricked it prior and had no option) and I seem to have the same issue (at least I assume its that which is killing my battery.)
