Can't change wallpaper

Hey everyone Im having a problem changing the wallpaper on my iphone.

I cant put my own pictures or even a theme as wallpaper. It wont change, its been like this for a while. Even on 1.1.4 it was like that.

Anyone know how i can change it?

as in the lock screen walpaper or the backround behind icons?? wht firmware.. u may need summerboard for backround behind icons for 1.1.4 and winterboard for 2.0.

Lock screen, but i think it wont work for icon background either.

When i was on 1.1.4 i had a theme and it wallpaper was stuck on that theme. Before i updated to 2.0.1 i made a backup and now its on 2.0.1. And it wont change, even with winterboard theme.

I'm having the same problem with in the lock screen only. I upgraded to 2.0 still can not change the wallpaper. Any sugestions?

SSH into your phone

go to

private/var/mobile/library

Find LockBackground.jpg

Delete that and then choose a new Wallpaper

This seems to be a big problem for alot of people, i had the same problem for like two weeks and thats how i fixed it a week ago, it all works great now. Just follow what nickmc01 said.

or reset the permissions of that file to 666 and you can change it over and over without deleting it

I also am having this problem as well, anyway you can explain how to fix this? I can see in openssh the files that u mentioned but after var it says empty? Thanks

On 2.2 its not working. Did they change it?

if i copy the file to my desktop it shows the wallpaper i chose but wont show up on phone.
