need an answer please
will apple really free it's iphone in the next half of 2008 , and if it is true will it still be sold for 400$ for 8gb . thanks

Not sure where you heard this. Last I heard it had a 4 year contract with AT&T in the US. If it is true, though, there is no way of knowing what the price would be, but I would bet that it cost more for the non-contract phones than for those with contracts, unless laws prohibit it to be that way.
