Searched, but need to mod song info

I tried several searches, but didn't produce what I want. If someone could please point me in the right direction, I'd appreciate it. When syncing my songs from the computer thru iTunes d/l on limewire, there are a lot of mistakes in song info which produces like 5 different AC/DC artists when it should be one. How can I clean all of this up on the computer and have it clean up the iPhone without duplicating files? Also to make genres the correct ones? Any info or links would be great. Thank you in advance.

I use media monkey just for that. Its free and works great. It will even search amazon.com for album artwork (not automatically)

I did the MM, and was ablew to manually edit the song info, and its saved in MM. Now to show my stupidity, how do I get that info transfered to iTunes and into the iPhone?

In iTunes, highlight all of the songs you want to make adjustments to, then right-click and select Get Info. Any changes you make will be filtered down through all of the highlighted songs at once.
