32 gig iphone REALITY

ok ive posted this before but perhaps this name will get more attention....anyone out there with multiple phones i have one you can bastardise for parts but IS IT POSSIBLE to replace a 32 gig ipod touch flash drive with an iphones exsisting flash drive and have it work. As in would the iphone then have 32 gigs of useable memory or would it then have a 32gig hardrive but only use 8-16gigs of that space anyone with the knowledge, time, and extra phones to try this out please do because if you made one work do you know how much they would go for on ebay........
