Cannot send e-mails

HI.

Using the e-mail tab i setup my yahoo account.

I can read my e-mails - but when i go to send one the following error appears:

Cannot Send Mail
The connection to the outgoing server "(null)" failed.

Does anybody know how to solve this.

First make sure you have an outgoing mail server listed in settings;mail;youraccount

the server address will be relevant to the connection you are currently useing; eg, if you're using edge on o2, you need to use the o2 outgoing mail server, if you are using wifi , you need to use the current wifi suppliers outgoing mail server.

your outgoing mail server Host Name should be in the format

mail.yourserver.com:25

I am not using edge I am using wifi.

Surely if i am using Yahoo Mail i dont replace the smtp server with my wifi suppliers, it would remain on yahoos......
