settings-manual carrier selection not working

I have 2G pwned with 2.0.1 firmware and all is working very good. Recently I noticed that i am unable to select my carrier or other carriers in this region manually.

By default in settings option carrier shows Vodafone, however
when i click it to check the network selection manually it only shows searching.......

Please help if I need to tweak any plist file or any solution to this problem
