Iphone 2g speaker

quick question, i noticed as i was playing a ring tone sample that the sound is only coming out of one side of the phone on the left side of the connector plug. is that the only speaker or should the right side of the plug be functioning as well?

While looking at the face of your phone: the left side is the speaker, and the right side is your mic.

i compared my one, which has the same problem as SoulCypheR mentioned above, and the other one which belongs to my friend. Her speaker are working on both side and way louder and better than mine. Mine has harsh sound when i volume up and only can listen on left side.

Hello you are right mine is the same compared to my friend his is louder also. is that hardware issue or software. i tried vol boost 1.1.4 and still the same. Let me know if you find a solution thanks

Hmm, i feel pretty silly if that is the case! Forgive me. I've only compared with 2 other peoples. Theirs has the same firmware/is also 2g. Theirs also only plays from the left side. Perhaps this is a firmware issue; or, possibly a model issue!

Edit: Sorry for posting before researching! I found multiple forums about this... This should be helpful to those in doubt!
