us itunes with uk activation

live in uk, currently 2.01 winpwn, unlocked and jailbroken using 02 simplicity sim with a US itunes account.

considering to activate through itunes in the hope that one day O2 will issue unlock codes to long term 2g users.

Before i do this activation would like to understand if i will I lose the ability to use my US itunes account on a legitimate activation.

if your itunes is signed into your american account, and you sync your iphone to that itunes, your iphone has your american itunes account.

the phone has whatever itunes account the itunes of the computer it was synced with was logged in with.

you should be fine to activate through itunes and use your american account, even if it fails, you can just restore and hacktivate again, but, you dont really gain anything by activating and not hacktivating??
