iPhone wont load. Turns on and off by itself!! please help

while plugged in my phone continues to go from black screen to my pwnage screen, tried everything from restore mode to DFU mode, nothing works! my pc will not recognize the iphone at all either. before this all hit the fan my home button wasn't working though the phone was running fine. of course i was having to reboot my phone to switch between apps and my sms. i am hoping someone knows what is going on, please help.

Sounds like you messed up the bootloader, DFU should fix this if it's done correctly. Tell me how you put your iPhone in DFU

Thanks coryqb17 for your help. I was finally able to put the phone in DFU mode by downloading iliberty. This software puts the iphone in recovery mode so that itunes is able to recognize it allowing one to restore the phone to its default settings. By running iliberty and itunes simultaneously, i was able to get the phone working and yes pawn it back after a long process
