IS THERE ANY KIND OF WiFi DIAGNOSTIC CHECK?

Having accidentally upgraded to 1.1.3 via iTunes from a jailbroken 1.1.1/1.1.2
I have followed many tuturiols to downgrade back too 1.1.1 and 1.0.2 and successfully jailbroken the phone again HOWEVER whilst the phone see my wifi connection and appears to let me connect to it - whenenver i try to use the apptapp installer it just freezes on the main page EVERY SINGLE GOD DAMN TIME!! (I've tried other Wifi source in case there is a problem with mine still no luck!)

I just need to know if there is a simple dianostic check on the wifi!
(My IMEI no. has not been affected by anything done so far just the stupid FIRMWARE UPGRADE!) Which without wifi i cannot downgrade!!!
