can't connect over edge

HELP!
My 2G iPhone (pwn'd 2.0.1 on tmobile in UK) won't work via edge. WiFi still working perfectly.

Safari, weather, stocks, maps all fail when no wifi available (or disabled).

It looks like it's not able to resolve DNS. If I point safari at an ip address (still via edge) it works fine. I also find that using terminal I can sucessfully ping an IP address but not a name. oddly, /etc contains a resolv.conf which is a symlink to /var/run/resolv.conf but the latter doesn't exist...

I've heard abut DNS (mDNSResolver) issues but I can't work out or find a fix.

what does your 'resolv.conf' file look like ??

May I ask did you maybe have a look under say. Settings >> General >> Network >> Cellular Data Network >> See what is under APN. I hope this is some type of help.
