Starting yesterday my iPhone 3G (Brand new, had it a week) keeps giving me the "No SIM installed" error. It disconnects me from my phone calls and I can't seem to get it to go away. I push down on the SIM holder to make sure it's firmly placed and restart the phone many times. After a while it eventually re-detects the card and works like normal. It's not hacked, still running official 2.0.1. Anyone else having this problem?

had the same problem on my g/f's 3g iphone....took sim out and put back in ,.... been working so far...dont know what the deal is

Try restoring... if this doesn't work it's a hardware issue. Warranty.

you just have to restore with the stock firmware and bring it back. i've heard that this has happened to quite a few people, my friend included.
