exactly how many texts can you hold?

just curious...how many texts can the iPhone store?
because it seems that im always having to clear my inbox
f.y.i. i text a lot
and smsd is a pain to delete individual texts

but anyway, ya i was just wondering...

what firmware version are you on?

1.1.2 and below is 1000...

and 1.1.3 got rid of that, so i dont really think theres a limit...someone correct me if there is one
