2.0 gmail

Everytime I try to set up a gmail account it does this to me....
(I enabled the imap on in gmail as a start)

"the imap server "imap.gmail.com" is not responding. Check your network connection and that you entered the correct information in the "incomingmail server" field."

when i enter all the setting i also get a error message saying;

"Cannot connect to ssl"
do you wish to set up the account without SSL? (YES OR NO)

Are you on a jailbroken phone?

THere was a Gmail outage recently just Shut down the phone and try it again

If you just jailbroke the phone and can not get your email to work, try rejailbreaking the phone, but when you first connect the phone set the phone up as a "new" phone instead of recovering from a backup.

go into gmail and change your password. im guessing gmail requires a minimum of 8 characters now.

my password is only 6 characters and mine works fine on jailbroke FW2.0,1

Are you trying these settings on WIFI?

yea on wifi to set it up

Ive used Gmail on EDGE and WIFI works perfect! the only time i get that error is like a bad email address or bad password

It worked before I upgraded to 2.0

followed this and it went ok until It asked to use ssl. Yes/No the problem is that after that it fails either way

Im on 201 and it works fine, Even with Push and Fetch, Can you setup IMAP in like Mail or Outlook on your pc or mac?
