Iphone 2.0.1 Texting Lag STILL!
Is it just me? Or are others having this problem still?
I'm using a jailbroken/unlocked 2G 2.0.1 T-Mobile,
I had to downgrade because the lag was so bad, The contacts is a lot quicker but still laggish at times.
Anyone else?

Same problem here bro
I just upgraded to 2.0.1 because of the lag time but it did NOT fix the problem even though I heard it would fix it. Any other suggestions???!!!!

make sure you turn off the location services and use fetch email instead of push. works better for me than push anyways. turn off the wifi pop up too and your life should increase as well. if you have SSH then turn that off as well if not in use

fellas, when you restore to the new firmware DO NOT hit "restore backup" when ur done. setup as new phone and jus sync back all ur stuff. this seems to be the major issue causing all the lag.
so remember, do not restore from backup, setup as new phone, then sync1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
waitin on my white iphone 4

Good Point, Usually what i do is go into preferences and delete all the sync's so there isnt anything to restore

2.0.1 has been running like garbage for me. Restored and PWND it twice last night....still get huge lag when going back to home screen and also when texting....plus my battery drains like 3 times a day...

To upgrade to 2.0.1, I put the phone into DFU mode, restored to 2.0.1, and setup as a new iPhone. The lag issue disappeared for a few days, and then just out of nowhere started up again! It is INFURIATING trying to type text messages like this!! I don't want to restore again, because it takes several hours to re-install all the apps! I don't know what to do!
