Manual mode on 2 seperate PC's

Hi Guys,
I'm having a problem.. I've updated to version 1.1.3 and got the latest iTunes, which has support for "Manual manage music and videos". Now on my ipod nano, I could select this on my PC @ home and my PC @ work and be able to drag and drop music onto it from both machines. But on my iphone it wont let me do this!
If I select manually manage music on my PC at home, it will be deselected at work and visa versa.. And if I try to select it at work and click apply it wants to delete all my music and start fresh.
Is there any way to have it so I can drag and drop music easily on both machines without deleting my library every time?
