iTunes wants to restore a backup of my phone constantly
Winterboard knackered my phone and I had to restore. I backed up first and when I'd restored, iTunes went to restore the backup and it worked fine. My phone rebooted and it's all working.
The problem is, each time I plug it into iTunes it thinks it's a new phone and asks me if I want to install it as a new phone or restore the backup that I've already restored TWICE (I let it restore again and it just restarted, successfully restored, and asked me if I want to restore again).
Is there any downside to setting it up as a new phone? Will it lose any of my contacts or data?
Don't need to set it up as a new phone. Itunes and 2.0.2 are broken all you have to do is hit "restore from backup" on the restore loop screen then unplug the phone the second the screen changes. Plug it back in and it works fine.
I can't believe they are releasing this **** to the public.
