New to this help please

I've just bought the new iphone 3G and when i set it all up on the pc it upgrade to 2.0.1 the phone is running good. But i cant seem to do anything with the phone.

You cant change the message tones, e-mail tones. worked the ringtones out.lol

And you can only change the unlock screen background.

I have been readin up but im **** at all this. can someone please help me with all this.

If theres other software can u please post it up here.

I was lookin at the jailbreak and would like to now software and wot happens all 2gether. My mate wants to have a go at it.lol

At the present time there is no jailbreak for the 2.01 firmware for the 3g (nor the 2g). It should not be too long before the Dev-Team has something.

Can i go back to the 2.0 and if yeah how do i do it??

All I really want to be able to do is:

Change the Wallpaper behind the icons

Change the message tone

Can any provide an idiots guide for this

Any help much appreciated thank you

i dont think you can go back... yet. you may be able to get ahold of the 2.0 firmware and try to update with itunes, but it may not work because i beleive apple updated the basband
