Haven't seen that one.
I've used Pandora, uSirius, and AOL radio for well over an hour via EDGE on my 2g and never had that pop up. Gets a little warm, but no biggie. Not good for battery life though....

What firmware are you using? 2.0 or 2.0.1?

2.0.1 on a 1day old replacment. I got the dreaded iCrack on my launch day phone on monday, made an appointment and Apple replaced it. Went home to set it back up and that was when 2.0.1 came out.
Also it happened once more after that. I'm wondering if it had something to do with the combination of the "Incase" I have it in and having it in my pocket.

Perhaps a new feature in 2.0.1 due to the reports of the phone getting hot and melting/burning people? Mine's gotten pretty hot, but I've never seen that, I'm still in 2.0on my 3G.

i have read a few threads about people getting burnt from with 3g phones.. Perhaps this is a new feature, when it gets too hot it turns off services to allow it to cool off, instead of just burning people.

Hey, it least it has that safety in place, so your circuitry doesn't burn out.
Get "iPod & iTunes for Dummies", it'll change your life.

Has any one find a string to that in the firmware?

Yes, I found it in SpringBoard.plist (or something of that nature) inside SpringBoard.app.
Before Customize came out for firmware 2.0, I SFTP'd the file down and changed a bunch of stuff in it and saw the temperature warning and a lot of other stuff too. Definitely some interesting strings there.I came, I saw, I forgot what the hell I was there for.
