I have a 1st Gen 8GB iPhone and it takes multiple hours to back-up, restore from back-up, transfer purchases, and/or transfer movies.

Now i swear the movies used to never happen cause i had tons of videos on my iPhone back in the 1.1.2-1.1.4 days but now i just say screw movies and i put them on my iPod(which only takes 5-10 mins).

So my question is: Why in the heck do all transfers to and from my iPhone take so dang long?

Edit: I notice that no matter what i do when my phone syncs it backs up the entire phone every time. I have 3 complete backups from today alone...WHY?? and can i disable backing my phone up?

Well when it say backing up iPhone at the top in itunes, just click on the x and it will stop the backup and sync anything that has changed.
