Tethering and Vista.. help!

okay.. I've tried it with and without netshare.. with and without foxyproxy.. and no go. I'm running Vista 64bit.... can someone who's done a successful tether with a similar set up please help me get this going.

The only way to tether 3G is on a Mac, are you using a 3G iPhone, or the 1st Gen?

3G.. and there are plenty on the forum tethering 3G phones and xp.. so, not sure you're right.

Just want to know if there's an issue with Vista 64 bit and tethering.

Probibly will work on Vista 32, Not sure about 64 but the only way to find out is try

Been tethering fine and dandy with vista 32 here.

As far as setup, I used Firefox, setting up the proxy settings as advised in the directions as follows:

in the address bar type "about:config" (without the quotes)

and change to the following settings:

network.proxy.socks;192.168.10.1
network.proxy.socks_port;1080
network.proxy.socks_remote_dns;true

works for me...

Sweet, Now i got a way to do some tethering on my laptop when i go places

Doesn't look like its working on my vista 64 PC - I'd say that its only 32 bit OS.
