Text lag on 3G

I bought the 3G a few weeks ago but since then i have had times when i try to text and as i press each letter it takes a second or so to show that letter. I find i can text 4 or 5 letters before the phone shows the second letter. Its very annoying and i never had this with the 2G phone. Anyone else getting this on either phone or know how to fix it.Cheers.

Wonder if there is a fix for this. It doesnt happen every time.

i get this aswell, im blaming it on buggy firmware .. until 2.1 comes out anyhows, if its still buggy at 2.1 ill be taking a trip to apple for an explanation.
