Reinstall firmware with out ReJailbreak process

Hi all,

I was wondering if there was a way to basically format and reinstall the iPhone firmware. I'm coming from the windows world, so usually when my system gets too bloated ill wipe the system clean and start over.

My question is,
Is there a way of reinstalling the firmware (I'm in 1.1.4) with out the need to rejailbreak and reunlocking?

Thanks for the help!
Talk to you all soon!

Thanks for replying!

So after jailbreaking and unlocking I will have to store the firmware build on my computer.

Does Pwnage tool do this?

After I have stored my modded firmware, do i use restore it with iTunes (7.5) and restore it with this new/modded firmware?

If I have apps installed would this method work as an image for the phone for Backup?

Thanks again

there are guides on this site on how to pwn your phone which is the best way to go about unlocking and jailbreaking your phone. its done through firmware and you can use itunes to load your custom firmware on your phone.

bootneuter is the best way to unlock
