iPhone 3G Speaker Problem
This might be a completely stupid question/problem but I have just found out that my new iPhone 3G(got it Monday) does not play sounds through both speakers but only through the left one. This includes keyboard clicks and playing songs. I am not sure if both speakers are utilized during ringtone playback, but I doubt it.
So my question is: is this normal? Or do I have to go return the phone? Or is it just a software problem?
Thanks a lot for your help!

Microphone? I have no problems with microphone. As far as I know microphone is for voice input.
Unless I am mistaken and one of the openings on the bottom of 3G is microphone and the other one is a speaker. Then it makes sense. But I thought that both of the openings were speakers.

This thread is proof that it's always a good idea to do a quick google search before asking a question

how about this answer
OK - so I took my phone back to where I got it because of this same reason. the clerk called my phone and we used speaker phone to check it out. Then, when we used hers on speaker phone she had good volume out of each of these ports as the other one was blocked. I heard it with my own self. Your suggestions on this?
Also - I wish it were a second speaker. I have found the speaker phone volume to be less than good. Volume setting is at max - volume just not a good quality. Others have better sound? Thanks

thanks for the tip. if i get another iphone i will do this. i returned to my original krzr. even 10% would not be enough for this phone. i barely got any calls. even worse - a completely charged phone would be a dead battery in 8 hours. that was without the use of any features other than text and phone. it should have lasted longer than that. you think? i think i had a lemon.

Holy ****. I was flipping out about 2 minutes ago because I thought one of my speakers didn't work. Saw this thread, was relieved, and then laughed at the fact that most of the iPhone community knows this.
